LookingGlass was once again a proud sponsor of the 13th Annual Cyber Summit held on September 7–9, 2022, at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
The world’s leading government summit on cybersecurity continued its unique educational mission of convening the who’s who in cybersecurity: the senior leadership from the U.S. government, and partners from both industry and academia were there.

8:30 AM – General Session – What’s Next: Cyberspace Solarium 2.0 Members Chart Future Cyber Strategies
The Cyberspace Solarium Commission (now CSC 2.0) has been instrumental in making key recommendations to change the way that the U.S. government protects itself and how it interfaces with the private sector to improve the way the entire cybersecurity ecosystem functions.
LookingGlass CEO Bryan Ware moderated a panel of four distinguished Solarium Commissioners, including Sen. Angus King, a Co-Chair. They explored the recommendations, including ones that have yet to be implemented and dove into what needs to happen next to fulfill the vision of the CSC to better defend and protect the U.S. against significant cyberattacks.
In Summary
Throughout the conference, speakers like CIA director William Burns, emphasized the need for greater information sharing, including declassifying threat intelligence, to support current and future cybersecurity challenges.
At LookingGlass, we agree that contextualized cyber threat intelligence needs to be shared more broadly. Leveraging threat intelligence generated by the private sector can be an important component in addressing nation-level cyber challenges and identifying possible attack vectors across critical infrastructure.
